Setting Up Your 3DEXPERIENCE Platform

If you are the platform administrator you need to invite other users, grant appropriate roles, and optionally organize and customize the platform to guide users. This section is recommended for a cloud environment. For more information about setting-up an on premises environment, see the 3DEXPERIENCE Platform - Administration section of the User Assistance.

Before you begin: You have received an email that lets you access and set up your platform basics.

Access the Platform for the First Time

You must be the first person to access the platform.

Note: This section applies to a cloud environment only.

  1. In the email you have received, click the Click here to become the first licensed user of the 3DEXPERIENCE and the administrator link.
  2. Log in.

Invite Members, Customize and Configure Your Platform

  1. To invite members, grant roles, and create customized roles you need to use Members Control Center.

  2. To customize your platform, implement your corporate legal notices and cookie warnings you need to use the Platform Management Dashboard.

  3. To configure your platform, you need to use Configuring Content for the 3DEXPERIENCE Platform.

Create and Manage Communities

To create, manage and moderate communities you need to use Communities Control Center.

Create and Manage Collaborative Spaces

  1. To create collaborative spaces to let your users store content and collaborate you need to use 3DSpace .

  2. To manage ownership, creation rights and settings of your collaborative spaces you need to use Collaborative Spaces Control Center.

Create and Share Dashboards

  1. Create, manage and share customized dashboards specifically developed for your organization.
