About Proposed Changes

To request an object to be changed, you select or create the object and add it to the change action (CA) as a proposed change. Only the CA owner or a contributor can add a proposed change while the CA is in a state before In Approval. You can attach an object as a proposed change as For Release or For Obsolete. When the CA is promoted from the Draft state to the In Work state, the object becomes strict change-required. All proposed and realized changes must be in the Frozen state before you can move the CA to In Approval.

You can attach an object as a proposed change as For Obsolete even if the object is not released, but has a path to the Obsolete state without moving to the Released state.

To view the list of proposed changes for a change action, open a change action in the Change Action Management widget and click the Proposed Changes tab.

You can add a change action with a downstream flowdown dependency to another change action. You can then select the realized objects to flow down from the upstream change action to the downstream change action.
