Rules for Canceling a Change Order

When you cancel a change order:

  • Only the change order owner or users with the Change Coordinator role can cancel a change order.
  • You cannot cancel a change order that is a prerequisite of another change order.
  • You can cancel a CO, regardless of whether it has a formal or fast track policy, when it is in the On Hold state or before it reaches the In Work state.
  • All related change actions are canceled and the change action owners are notified.
  • All contributors, Informed user list and Approver list members, route owner, and the change order originator are notified that the change order has been canceled.
  • Proposed changes are not automatically removed when you cancel a CO. You can reuse proposed changes in a new change order without removing them from the canceled change order.
