Change Action Properties Page

This topic describes the attributes on the change action (CA) properties page and tasks you can perform related to change actions.

You need to be assigned the Change Management (CHG) license to hold, resume, or transfer change actions.

  • Click the Change action name.
Field Description
Messages Messages related to open tasks.
Status State of the CA is taken into consideration along with the difference between Estimated minus Actual completion dates. If the Actual Completion Date goes beyond the due date and the CA is not yet completed, the status is shown as red square.

Policy Policy that governs the CA
Owner Person responsible for the CA
Description Details about the CA
State Current lifecycle state of the CA
Responsible Organization Business organization where the change was raised
Category of Change Category to which the CA belongs for change orders created using the Formal Change policy
Governing CO Link to the parent change order (CO)
Governing CR Link to the parent change request (CR)
Severity Significance of the change
Assignee Person responsible for implementing the change
Note: This assignee is automatically set when the associated CO has a Fast Track policy. For Formal Change COs, this field is blank (but can be edited in the CA properties tab).
Approver Person responsible for reviewing the change
Approvers List Name of the route template that contains the list of users required to approve the CA
Due Date The date the change must be completed
Estimated Completion The date when the work is expected to be completed
Actual Start The date when the CA is promoted to In Work
Actual Completion The date the CA is promoted to Completed

Edit Edit the CA. You can edit a CA only if it is in the Draft or In Work states. Editing Change Action Properties
Transfer Ownership Transfer ownership of the CA to another user.

An administrator can transfer a CA, even if the administrator is not a member of the CA.

Subscribe Subscribe to notifications of changes to a object. Subscription Management
HTML Report Generate a summary report for the CA.
Cancel Cancel the CA.

If the CA is in the Draft or the In Work state, notifications are sent to the Change Coordinator, object owner, Assignees, and Followers.

If the CA is in the In Approval state, notifications are sent to the Change Coordinator, object owner, Followers, and Reviewers that have an open approval task.

If the CA is in the Approved state, notifications are sent to the Change Coordinator, object owner, and Followers.

An administrator can cancel a CA, even if the administrator is not a member of the CA.

Hold/Resume Hold the CA from being implemented. When selected again, resumes implementing the CA.

If the CA is in the Draft or the In Work state, notifications are sent to the Change Coordinator, object owner, and Assignees.

If the CA is in the In Approval state, notifications are sent to the Change Coordinator, object owner, and Reviewers that have an open approval task.

An administrator can put an active CA on hold or resume the CA, even if the administrator is not a member of the CA.

Collaborate Establish collaboration between the EBOM associated with the CA and its product in ENOVIA Product Structure. This command is visible if:
  • You have PDE (or its derivative) license
  • The CA governs data that can be collaborated between the EBOM and the product structure.
  • The CA is in the In Work state.
  • The user is either the CA change coordinator, owner, or assignee.
