Creating Attributes

You can create attributes for objects like bus signals and, flow or data mappings. Attributes can be created from the object or from a template selected at the object creation.

Create an Attribute

You can create customized attributes by selecting different combinations of units and types defined by an Administrator.

  1. Select an object in the tree, right-click, and select Create Attribute .
  2. In the Create Attribute dialog box, edit the Title and Value fields.
  3. Optional: Enter the details of the attribute in the Description area.
  4. Enter values in Unit and Type fields or select predefined values from the lists.

Attributes appear below the object.

Create Attributes from Template

You can create attributes by reusing templates defined by an Administrator.

  1. Select an object in the tree, right-click, and select Create Attributes from Template .
  2. In the Create Attributes from Template dialog box, select a template from the list.
    The attributes of the template are displayed in tabular form.
  3. Edit the cells in the Value column.

Attributes appear below the object.
