Filtering a Configured Architecture

You can filter a product configuration to display only the relevant content for the configured architecture.

This scenario shows you how to apply effectivity to the subfunctions of a function. The scenario is identical for the other objects.

Before you begin:
  • Assign a variant model to the parent function. For more information, see Connection.
  • Define effectivity for the function.

Environment: On premises only

Drag a product configuration from the Search or from another app into the element to filter in the tree.
The product configuration appears under the E/E Navigation title. The effectivity of objects is verified and all known objects are filtered and displayed as follows:
  • In trees: gray
Note: Menus on these objects are unavailable.
  • In diagrams: light gray or light pink
Note: Actions on these objects are disabled.
  • In dialog boxes: hidden
Note: To cancel a filter effect, select Remove applied filter next to the filter under the E/E Navigation title.
