Creating Gateways

You can create a gateway from an EE component.

This scenario describes how to create a gateway for a functional mapping. The scenario is identical for a software mapping.

Before you begin: Create an EE component.
  1. Right-click the Port/Connection Allocations node and select Create Gateway .
  2. Select an EE component.
  3. Enter these details for the new gateway:
    1. Select the source and the target elements:

      Group Name Description
      Source

      Select either of the following

      • Bus, a bus, a matrix, and a bus signal.
      • Wire, a wire.
      Target

      Select either of the following

      • Bus, a bus, a matrix, and a bus signal.
      • Wire, a wire.

    2. To associate these elements, click when it turns from red to green.

A gateway is created and appears in the tree.
