Validating Objects

You can validate models and instances using rules integrated into the app. Some rules are automatically executed while others that are more resource-consuming need to be launched manually. The following scenario validates a topology.

Before you begin:
  • Create a rack of size [1,1,1].
  • Instantiate two ECUs in the rack at the same position.

  1. Select the rack in the tree.
  2. From the Validation section of the action bar, select Check Rules on Selected Element .
    The Problem View opens. It displays the following warning: Rack position already used: [1,1,1].

You can now correct your topology.
