Hiding or Showing Objects

You can improve the readability of hardware, functional, and software diagrams by hiding or showing diagram objects.

Note: This task describes the process of hiding ports. Other objects can be hidden in a similar way.

  1. To hide a port from the diagram, right-click the port and select Hide .
  2. To display the hidden port:
    1. Select the parent object to which the port belongs, for example, a function, an ECU, or a software component.
    2. Right-click and select Show Related Elements .

      Tip: You can also use Show Elements from the Diagrams section of the action bar.

    3. In the Show Elements dialog box, search and select the port.

      Tip: You can filter the search results by selecting or clearing the corresponding components in the Options pane of the dialog box.
      Note: Additional information associated with the ports is proposed when searching for a port. Following is an example of the proposed port selection.
      LiDAR_Controller_Front.1 A/SDA[InOut]: MicroConnector A [WiredLink]

      This enables you to search a port or a group of ports associated with a specific ECU instance or connector type.
