Creating Subconnector Types

You can create subconnectors to be used with generic types.

This task shows you how to:

Create a Subconnector Type

You can create a subconnector type.

  1. From the Hardware tab, right-click the Subconnector Types node, select Create Subconnector Type .
  2. Enter these details for the new type:

    Box Name Description
    Title

    Enter a title.

    Description

    (Optional) Enter a description.
    Subtechnology (Optional) Enter a technology name.

The subconnector type is created and appears under the Subconnector Type node.

Create a Subconnector Type for a Generic Type

You can create a subconnector type for a generic type.

Before you begin: Create a generic type.
  1. Right-click the generic type and select Create Subconnector Type .
  2. Enter these details for the new type:

    Box Name Description
    Title

    Enter a title.

    Description

    (Optional) Enter a description.
    Subtechnology (Optional) Enter a technology name.

The subconnector type is created and appears under the Subconnector Type node. An instantiation of the type is displayed below the generic type.
