Create a Subsystem from a Topology

You can create a subsystem from a topology.

Before you begin: Create a topology.
Right-click the Subsystems node of the topology, select Create Subsystem , and:
  1. Enter a title.
  2. Optional: Enter a description.

A subsystem is created and appears under the Subsystems node.

Create a Subsystem from an EE Component

You can create a subsystem from an EE component.

This scenario describes how to create a subsystem from an ECU. The scenario is identical for actuators, sensors, and electrical devices.

Before you begin: Create an ECU.
Right-click the ECU, select Create Subsystem , and:
  1. Enter a title.
  2. Optional: Enter a description.

A subsystem is created and appears under the Subsystems node of the ECU. The corresponding topology is created and appears under the Topologies node.
