Creating an Electrical Geometry

An electrical geometry is an assembly of connectors, supports and one or more electrical branch geometries depending on your design philosophy. You can create one or more electrical geometries. When you start the Electrical Geometry command, you create the reference of an electrical geometry.

  1. Select Add > Content in the top bar.
  2. Expand the Electrical Physical category displayed under the Type list.
    The list contains:
    • Electrical Conductor
    • Electrical Conductor Group
    • Electrical Physical System
    • Electrical Branch Geometry
    • Electrical Geometry.
  3. Click Electrical Geometry.
Note: If you select the Set Attributes at creation contextual option, an additional dialog box is displayed if the creation requires specific attributes to be defined.

The first tab, Electrical Geometry, contains the same attributes as a product:

    • Title
    • Name
    • Description
    • Sub-type
    • Collaborative Policy.

  4. Click OK.
An electrical geometry having appropriate electrical properties is created in the tree.

You are now ready to start your design.
