You can create an object by inserting a new row in the table
or by duplicating an existing row.

Creates an empty row at the same level as
the selected object. This lets you create a new object in your model.

Creates an empty row at a child level. This
lets you create a new subcomponent in your model, under the selected object.

Duplicate Row
|
Duplicates the selected row at the same
level.

These commands are available:

To create an object:

Select an object.

Click
New Row
or
New Child
.
- Optional:
If you work in a configured environment, the
Define Effectivity dialog box appears to
let you assign an effectivity to the object.

In the
Type column, click the cell to expand
the list of the available types and select one.

In the
Extensions column, select the cell to
display the existing extensions.
This list can contain either PLM extensions (i.e. device
extension for a 3D Part) or customized feature types (i.e. electrical
protective covering).

Click
Remove Value
to remove an existing extension.

If the object can have another extension, click the arrow to
display the list of the available extensions and select one.

Click
Add Value to associate the extension to
the object.
The properties corresponding to this extension are
displayed in the Spreadsheet's columns.

To duplicate an object, click
Duplicate Row
.

To create or duplicate several objects, do one of the following:
- Multiselect objects and click the command.
- Double-click the command.
