Analyzing your Network

This step shows you how to analyze the connectivity of electrical entities in your network.

Before you begin: Open a product containing an electrical physical system and an electrical geometry.

  1. From the standard area of the action bar, click Network Assistant .
    The Network Assistant toolbar appears with a list.
  2. Select Electrical Connectivity in the list and select the root product to analyze the connectivity of the associated network.

Three types of colors visually reflect the connectivity status of electrical entities in your work area:

  • Green: fully connected entities
  • Orange: entities involved in a network loop, provided that the Calculate loop detection when checking connectivity inside Network Assistant option is selected in Me > Preferences > App Preferences > 3D Modeling > Electrical and Electronic Systems > Electrical 3D Design > Branch.
  • Red: partially connected entities (at least one end is not connected)
