Physical Element Creation Reference Table

The creation of the branches in Physical depends on the design of the Logical pathway pattern.

This page discusses:

Branch Creation in Physical

Important: The branch creation in physical may vary as per the logical wire ending status.

Equipment Creation

With the Logical To Physical command, the harness connector can be directly connected to the physical equipment (corresponding to the logical equipment) through the cavity (having the same name as the logical connector port) according to the criteria below:

  • The pre-defined part number of the connector port (of the logical Equipment) should be unset.
  • The harness connector should be linked with the connector port of the logical equipment.

Busbar Creation

With the Logical To Physical command, a logical busbar is migrated as a physical equipment. Generation and synchronization behaviors for logical busbars are the same as for logical equipments.

However, the migration behavior of logical terminal ports on busbars is specific. Logical terminal ports (through which a bus bar inducts and gets its power source) are migrated as physical equipment connectors. After the migration of a busbar with a terminal port, the instantiated physical equipment and physical equipment connector are connected through:

  • A cavity, which is present on the physical equipment
Note: The cavity has the same name as the logical terminal port.
  • A cavity connection point, which is present on the physical equipment connector

Harness Connector Modification

With the Logical To Physical command, physical data is modified when:

  • The pre-defined part number of the logical harness connector is modified in the logical and / or corresponding physical connector has a different part number.
  • No pre-defined part number set on the logical connector port linked to the logical harness connector, the physical harness connector is connected directly to the cavity of physical equipment.

Connector Port Modification

With the Logical To Physical command,

  • If the pre-defined part number of the logical connector port is unset (connector port connected to the harness connector), the corresponding equipment connector (if it exists) is removed in the physical, and the physical harness connector is instantiated and directly connected to the cavity of the physical equipment.
  • If the pre-defined part number of the logical connector port is set (connector port connected to the harness connector), the corresponding physical equipment connector will be instantiated and connected to the cavity of the physical equipment. The physical harness connector (if any corresponding to logical harness connector) is connected to the physical equipment connector.
