You can
use the
Protective Covering Orientation
command during harness design to set the viewing direction for
single or multiple protective coverings. Thus the flatten and
drawing views display the labels of the protection orientation and,
when you install the harness, the protection sticker is placed
properly as per the design harness.
Before you begin:
Create a 3D harness and a flattened harness containing some protections.
Open the Electrical 3D Designapp.
The 3D harness data should be built with the FLEX mode.
From the Branch section of the action bar, click Protective Covering
Orientation
.
Select a protective covering in the tree or in the 3D area.
Multiple protective coverings can be selected through the selection of the electrical geometry / electrical branch geometry / root product.
Notes:
The selected protective coverings are highlighted whereas the other objects become transparent.
If the viewing direction is already applied for the selected protective covering, then it is displayed with a green arrow.
If the viewing direction is not already applied for the selected protective covering, then the default viewing direction is displayed with a white arrow.
Select either a line, an edge or an axis to set the viewing direction of the protective coverings.
The new viewing direction is modified.
Tip:
You can set the viewing direction for a single or multiple protective coverings at
the same time.
You can click a green arrow to change again the viewing direction.
Double-click the 3D area
to apply the viewing direction and to end the command.
