The following table describes the impacts of adding a junction point in the route of a cable.

The following table describes the impact of removing a junction point from a cable route.

Route elements					By default, the route information of the first impacted cable route is kept (Route_02 in our example), and the route information of the following cable routes is copied. Impacts on the route elements depend on the Unset the route details when the conductor/route extremities are modified option. For more information, see Conductor Routing.
Maturity status					The maturity status is changed from "Fully validated" to "In Revision". Moreover, the visualizations and the lengths of the impacted cable routes are concatenated.
Constraints					By default, the constraints of the first impacted cable route are kept (Route_02 in our example), and the constraints of the following cable routes are copied. Impacts on the constraints depend on the Unset the route constraints when the conductor/route extremities are modifies option. For more information, see Conductor Routing.
