Deleting Passing Points

The Unused Point Deletion option allows to delete the geometrical point corresponding to a passing point when you remove or replace this route element.

The following task describes how to delete a passing point when using the Remove From Route command. The scenario is identical for the following commands:

  • Removal Mode
  • Delete Branch
  • Replace routing element

Important: Passing points cannot be deleted in the following cases:
  • The point belongs to another electrical branch geometry.
  • The point is used by another feature.
  • The point is pointed by another object.


Before you begin: Activate an electrical branch geometry.
  1. Activate the Useless Point Deletion option:
    1. Select a branch and then, from the Branch section of the action bar, click Immersive Branch Definition .
      The Branch Properties panel appears.
    2. From the panel, click Unused Point Deletion.
      The icon is highlighted to notify the option activation.
  2. In the 3D area, select a passing point.


  3. From the context toolbar, click Remove from Route .
    The passing point is removed from the branch route and the point is deleted.

  4. To cancel your manipulations, press Escape or close the Branch Properties panel.
  5. To validate your manipulations, click in the 3D area or press Enter.

Note: To deactivate the Unused Point Deletion option, click the dedicated icon in the Branch Properties panel.
