Detecting and Resolving Clashes in the Laid-Out Data

You can detect clashes in the laid-out data and manipulate the data using prepare layout commands to make it clash free for manufacturing. All the clashes between devices, supports, branches, and tables in the flattened data are displayed as red dots.

Before you begin: Select the Perform clash detection check box, available in Me > Preferences > App Preferences > 3D Modeling > Electrical and Electronic Systems > Electrical Manufacturing Preparation > Formboard section.
  1. Open the laid-out data.
  2. From the Formboard section of the action bar, click Prepare Layout .

For documentation data you can click Prepare Layout from the Documentation section of the action bar.

All the clashes between devices, supports, branches, and tables in the laid-out data are displayed as red dots.
    Notes:
    • The intersection of route of a branch with other element is considered as a clash.
    • For devices having axis planes, clash is displayed for the intersections of the axis planes.

  3. Manipulate the laid-out data using prepare layout commands to make it clash free.

You can rotate, roll, scale the branches to resolve the clashes.
