Removing Electrical Dimensions

You can use Remove Electrical Dimensions to remove text annotations and FTA dimensions.

Note: The Multiple Dimensions and Overall Dimension commands create one electrical dimension path for each dimension. If you remove the electrical dimension path using Delete, the FTA dimension path is removed. However, if you remove the FTA dimension path using Delete, the dimension is removed but the electrical dimension path is not removed.

Before you begin: Activate a 3D shape containing text annotations.
  1. From the Dimension section of the action bar, click Remove Electrical Dimensions .
The Tools Palette dialog box appears.
  2. In the work area, select any of the following dimensions:
    • Text annotation
Note: You cannot select a text annotation reference whether it is referenced or not. If you hover over a text annotation reference, an icon indicates that the selection is not available.
    • FTA dimension
  3. Finalize the selection with the Tools Palette.
    • If you select one element, the name of the selected element appears in the Tools Palette.
    • If you select several elements, the number of selected elements appear in the Tools Palette.
  4. Click Finish .
In the 3D area, the annotation is removed. In the tree, the linked electrical path feature is also removed.

When you remove a text annotation which refers a text annotation reference, the text annotation reference is also removed but only if it is not referred by another text annotation.
