Connecting/Disconnecting Route Ends

You can connect a route line end with a component or disconnect it.

This task shows you how to:

Connect a Route End to a Component

Before you begin: In a diagram view:
  • Instantiate a symbol with a connection point
  • Instantiate a route line with at least on end unconnected.
  1. Select the connection point of the component to be connected.

    Tip: You can also click Port Mapping and select a port in the Available Ports for Mapping dialog box.
    Note: If both ends are unconnected, the route end closest to your pointer is selected. The selected end is highlighted by a green circle.

  2. Select the route unconnected end.

    The route end is connected to the component.

Disconnect a Route End

Before you begin: In a diagram view:
  • Instantiate a symbol with a connection point
  • Instantiate a route line with at least one end connected to a symbol.
Select the route line.

Note: If both ends are connected, the route end closest to your pointer will be disconnected. The selected end is highlighted by a green circle.

The route end and the component are disconnected.
