Route a Shield Connection between an Over Shield Symbol and a Pin

You can route a shield connection between an over shield symbol and a pin.

Before you begin: Activate a diagram view with:
  • Components connected by a shielded cable containing groups of cables
  • A free pin


  1. In the diagram view, click the over shield symbol, and then select Route Shielding Connection on the context toolbar.

    Note: If the connection already exists between the over shield and the pin, but does not appear in the diagram view, click the over shield symbol, and select Place shielded Connection to display it.

  2. Select the pin to be connected.
  3. Select the end of the symbol to be connected.

The shield connection is created between the pin and the over shield symbol.
