Creating an Equipment Connector

You can create an equipment connector with pins.

You can define forbidden characters through the Pin Name Forbidden Characters of Data Setup to forbid the use of certain characters. If the name of the pin contains forbidden characters, you cannot validate your creation. When creating several pins, the forbidden characters are skipped.

Before you begin:

Create a logical reference (System) under the Logical node.
Create an equipment or a shell (Equipment 1) under the logical reference.
Optional: Define a representation for your equipment connector in Data Setup.
Create a diagram view under the logical reference (System).
Activate the diagram view.

In the tree, select the equipment.
In the Create Equipment Connector dialog box, enter the necessary information.
Click OK to create the equipment connector.
Click the diagram view at the convenient place to insert the symbol.
The symbol is placed and a context toolbar appears.
