Creating an Equipment Terminal Block

You can create a terminal block (formerly named terminal board) with terminals.

This structure is displayed in the tree, under the Extensions > Port node.


Before you begin:
  • Create a logical reference (System) under the Logical node.
  • Create an equipment (Equipment01) under the logical reference.
  • Optional: Define a representation for your terminal block in Data Setup.
  • Create a diagram view under the logical reference (System).
  • Activate the diagram view.
  1. In the tree, select the equipment .
  2. In the Create Equipment Terminal Block dialog box:
    1. Type the name of the terminal block.
    2. Choose a type of terminal block.
    3. Choose a type of terminal.
    4. Type the number of terminals to be inserted.
    5. Type the name of the first terminal.
    6. Click Add.
      The terminals appear in the Terminals To Be Created area.
  3. Click OK to create the terminal block and close the Create Equipment Terminal Block dialog box.
  4. Optional: If you have defined a representation for your terminal block, click the diagram view at the convenient place to insert the symbol.
    The symbol is placed and a context toolbar appears.
