About Deleting Objects from the Diagram View

When you delete a logical object from a diagram view, it is also deleted from the tree.

To delete an object:

  • Right-click this object and select Delete from the context menu
  • Press the Delete key

Deleting Electrical Route Lines

When you delete a route from a diagram view, its reference and the associated connections are also deleted from the tree.

In the case of a route with sheet connectors, deleting one sheet connector deletes the other one.

If you delete one end of a connected net or net group, all the routes are deleted.

If a pipe has its extremities connected to pipes, deleting this pipe disconnect it from the other pipes it was connected to.

Deleting Components

Deleting a n electrical component or equipment in the diagram view, deletes its reference in the tree as well.

When you delete components, all the routes end in space apart from nets and net groups, which are deleted from the diagram view.

Deleting Ports

When you delete the port connecting a route, the following elements are removed:

If you delete a port connected to a ... In the diagram view ... In the tree ...
cable, wire
  • the port is removed.
  • the cable/wire connected to the port ends in space.
  • the port reference is deleted.
  • any connection associated with that port is deleted.
nets, net groups
  • the port is removed.
  • all routes belonging to the same net/net group are removed.
  • the port reference is deleted.
  • any connection associated with that port is deleted.
