Removing Connected Component from View

You can remove an electrical component from the diagram view when connected.

In this scenario, you remove an harness connector connected to wires, from the diagram view. The steps remain the same for any other component.

Before you begin: In a diagram view, connect two harness connectors with a cable containing several wires.

  1. Click the harness connector to be removed.
  2. On the context toolbar, click Remove from View .

    The following elements are removed from the diagram view:

    • The harness connector and the cable end representation
    • The over shield representation
    • The shield connection between the harness connector and the over shield

    An off-sheet connector is placed at the end of each wire.
