Creating Relays

You can create and place a relay in a diagram view.

The symbols for relays can be defined in Data Setup by associating a symbol to the Logical Equipment Representation resource.

Before you begin:
  • Create a logical reference.
  • Create a diagram view under the logical reference.
  1. Activate the diagram view.
  2. From the Edition section of the action bar, click Create New Reference .
  3. In the tree, select the logical reference.
    The New Content dialog box appears.
  4. Expand the Electrical Logical tab and right-click Logical Relay.
  5. Optional: Select the Set attributes at creation option.

    Note: This option remains selected when creating the same type of component.

  6. Click Logical Relay.
    The Logical Relay dialog box appears.
  7. Enter a name for the relay.
  8. Click OK to create your relay and close the Logical Relay dialog box.
  9. Optional: Create relay representation.

    Note: To define default offset value for relay wiring representations, right-click the relay symbol representation, select Symbol Properties, and then enter the offset value in the Offset box.
