Accessing Properties for Symbols and Routes

You can review and modify the properties for existing symbols or routes.

This task shows you how to:

Access Properties for Symbols and Routes

You can access the properties from the context menu of a symbol or a route.

  1. In the tree or in the diagram view, right-click the symbol or the route and select Properties .
  2. According to the selected object, click one of the following tabs:
    • Schematic Symbol to modify the symbol name, the representation mode and the attribute IsIntegrable selection.
    • Schematic Route: to modify the representation mode

Access Properties of Multiselected Symbols or Routes

You can multiselect symbols or routes in a diagram view and modify their properties all at once.

  1. In the diagram view, select all the symbols or routes.

    Note: The modification of the properties for multiselected symbols is not possible for zone computation mode or any type of container attributes.

  2. Right-click and select Properties .
  3. To modify symbols properties, select the Schematic Symbol tab.
    • Schematic Symbol Name: to modify or add the name of the symbols.
      Note: If all the selected symbols have not the same name,the attribute is empty.
    • Representation Mode: to define if the symbol is a main or called reprensentation.
      Notes:
      • If the selected symbols have different representation modes, the attribute is empty.
      • If the Schematic_GetRepresentationMode opening ID is defined for one of the selected symbols, the value if different from the one defined in the opening ID will not be taken into account.
    • Is integrable: to define if a symbol can be placed inside a container.
      Note: If the selected symbols have different values for this attribute, the option is not available.
  4. To modify routes symbols, select the Schematic Route tab.
    • Representation Mode: to define if the route is a main or called representation.
      Note: If the selected routes have different representation modes, the attribute is empty.
