Editing Applicability

A change action's owner or a Change Coordinator can build or edit an applicability expression to define the scope of the change that is being performed in the context of that change. In the change management process, applicability is defined in the context of a change action to leverage it in the change operations.

Note: Applicability is only available in apps that use either Configuration and Effectivity Services or Configuration Engineer, and Change Management.

If you select two items, they are inserted into the applicability expression as a range between the two nodes. The applicability expression will be similar to the following, Selected Context:Selected Item[A] OR Selected Item[B], which means a range between the highest node in the context, Selected Item A, and the lowest node in the context, Selected Item B.
