Placeholder MEP Properties

The Properties page for a Placeholder Manufacturer Equivalent Part (MEP) shows all of the details entered when the Placeholder MEP was created or modified. Placeholder MEPs are displayed only in a list of a part’s equivalents and do not appear in any other summary pages or search results pages.

The Equivalents page for a part shows Placeholder MEPs with a blank in the Name column or with a name such as TEMP.

On premises only: Your Business Administrator determines whether a blank or default name is displayed.

To access this page:

  1. Access a part’s Equivalents page.
  2. From the Name column, click the name of a Placeholder MEP.

Fields Names

Field Name Description
Maturity State The current state of the part in its lifecycle.
Owner The user who has responsibility for the part.
Modified Date when any attribute of the part was last changed. The modified date changes automatically when changes are made to the part attributes.
Basic
Type The placeholder MEP type, such as MPN (manufacturer part number)
Name The unique identifier for the placeholder MEP.
Description Details about the part.
Revision The current revision of the placeholder MEP.
State The maturity state.
Collaborative Policy The policy is Manufacturer Equivalent Part.
Classification Path Shows the hierarchy to which the current object belongs, which may include one or several classes or subclasses.
Derived From The object from which the object was created.
Creation Date When the object was created.
Modification Date When the object was last modified.
Organization The organization that is responsible for the object.
Collaborative Space The collaborative space to which a user must belong to have access to the object.
Owner The person who owns the part.
Options
Configured Indicates ' True' or 'False' whether the object is configured.
Engineering
Unit of Measure LB (pound), IN (inch), GA (gallon), FT (feet), or EA (each).
Estimated Weight The weight of the part.
Target Release Date The expected date on which the object is planned to be released.
Supply Chain / Production
Estimated Cost The amount of money that the part creator estimates that it will take to make the part on a per part basis.
Target Cost The amount of money that the part is expected to cost on a per part basis.
Lead Time The estimated time that it will take to manufacture the part.
Spare Part Indicates whether the intended use for the part is as a spare for the principle part used in the assembly.
Classification
Assigned Product The product to which the part is assigned.
