Adding Customer Extensions to a Part

You can add extensions to the Customer Extensions list for a part. With additional extensions, you can add attributes to the part. You can create extensions to add using the Data Model Customization application.


Before you begin: Search for and open a part.
  1. Select the name of the part in the part category list.
  2. Select the Customer Extensions tab.
  3. Click the Add Extension command in the toolbar.
  4. In the Add Extension form, search for and select the extension to add to the part.

    Note: The Type field indicates the type of the part and cannot be edited.

  5. Click Submit.
  6. To remove an extension, select the extension and click the Remove icon in the toolbar.
