Selecting a Work Under Change Action For Configured Parts in 3DSpace

You can select the Work Under change actions for a configured part. Once you select the CA, you can add proposed changes and promote the CA. Proposed changes that are released are listed as Realized Changes.

Before you begin: You must have:
  • Variant Management installed. If Variant Management is not installed, you cannot make modifications since the CA with applicability cannot be assigned.
  • A model.
  • A configured part.
  1. Create a change order.
  2. Add the configured part to the change order as a proposed item.
    A change action is created.
Note: You do not have to add the part as a proposed item before editing the BOM.
  3. Create an applicability definition for the CA for the part.
  4. Promote the CA to In Work.
  5. In the Configuration Criteria category, add a model to the part.
  6. Click the Engineering BOM category.
  7. Click the Enable Edit Mode icon in the toolbar.
  8. Select Work Under Change .
  9. Click the Work Under Change ellipsis and search for a CA.
The search results show all CAs that meet these criteria:

    • The CA lifecycle state is In Work.
    • The CA can be used as a work under CA for the change in the BOM.
    • You are either the CA owner or assignee.
