What's New

This page describes recent changes in Interference Check for Dashboard.

This page discusses:

R2022x FD01 (FP.2205)

View Mode

A new command, View Mode , lets you modify the current view using the available options. Also, the following commands have been removed from the View section of the action bar:
  • Perspective View
  • Parallel View
  • Hide/Show Reference Axis
  • Hide/Show Lines
  • Hide/Show Points
  • All rendering commands
Benefits: This enhancement simplifies the user interface for modifying the current view, by merging several commands into a single command.
For more information, seeManaging the View Modes

Fly/Walk Navigation

You can now remain in the fly/walk navigation mode and create other features (such as markers, measures, sections).
Benefits: This functionality improves the usability of this command.

Positioning a Section Using Geometries

You can now position precisely a section when creating it or later using the new Position from geometry option in the context toolbar.
Benefits: This functionality lets you precisely define the section position and in turn improves productivity and reduces the risk of misunderstandings created by wrong and less precise positioning.
For more information, see Sectioning Items

Computing Interferences with Pathway Features

You can now compute interferences considering pathway features of the pathway geometry, instead of its whole 3D geometry.
A dedicated metric is generated to follow each sub-interference and only the corresponding geometries are highlighted. The interference matrices and interference occurrences are grouped depending on the pathway geometry or the metric they correspond to, respectively.
Benefits: This functionality provides better understanding of the issues in the designs consisting of pathway features.

Displaying Penetration Volume

In the interference simulation list, the following quantifiers are now displayed:
  • Penetration vector
  • Penetration volume
  • Minimum distance
