Editing Preferences

Preferences enable you to customize your user experience.

  1. From the menu at the upper right corner, select .
  2. Set the preferences according to the requirements.

    Preference Description
    Credentials

    Credentials are used inside the widget to apply rules and visibility on the data under manipulation. They also determine the location of new objects. They enable you to choose among all credentials available for the connected user on the current 3DEXPERIENCE Platform.

    From the proposed list, select credentials. (The list is based on the credentials that are available to your user.)

    3DEXPERIENCE platform

    Platform currently used inside the widget to manage stored content. Enables to choose among platforms available for your user.

    On premises, the only available platform is "onPremises".

    On the cloud, all available platforms for the connected user will be proposed in the list.

    Important: If there is only one available platform (you are either working on-premise or on the cloud with a single platform available to you), then this setting will not be displayed.

    Use Index Select this check box to activate index acceleration for CAD assemblies in folders and to use information from the index server to quickly display object information.

    By default, this check box is selected.

    Note: For Interference Check, only indexed data is accessible for interference simulation.
    Retrieve instances tags

    Check this option to retrieve and display the Instance tags in addition to the Reference tags.

    By default, this check box is selected.

    Automatically reload recents from last session Loads objects that were already loaded in the view after a refresh.

    By default, this check box is cleared.

    Geometry Quality Defines the default geometry quality:
    • Optimized
    • High
    Note: The High quality setting can impact all data already loaded, the loading performances, and the 3D navigation FPS.

    By default, this option is set to Optimized.
    Loading boxes display Specify when to display the loading boxes while loading the data. You have the following choices:
    • Always on display
    • After 5 seconds
    • After 10 seconds
    • After 15 seconds
    • Disabled

    By default, Always on display is selected.

    Loading boxes color Specify the color of the loading box between Grey, Orange, Yellow, Green or Blue.

    By default, Grey is selected.
    Display Work Under

    Check this option to have the Change Action bubble displayed to allow the selection of the change action under which you will work.

    By default, this check box is cleared.

    Work Under Position Lets you select the position of the Work Under in the widget between following:
    • Lower-right corner
    • Lower-left corner
    • Upper-right corner
    • Upper-left corner

    By default, Upper-right corner is selected.

  3. Click Save.
