Choosing Preferences

You can customize your user experience.

  1. From the menu at the upper right corner, select Preferences .
  2. Set the Preferences according to your needs.

    Credentials

    Credentials are used inside the widget to apply rules and visibility on the data under manipulation. They also determine the location of new objects. They enable you to choose among all credentials available for the connected user on the current 3DEXPERIENCE Platform.

    From the proposed list, select credentials. (The list is based on the credentials that are available to your user.)

    Automatically reload recent objects from last session

    Loads objects that were already loaded in the view after a refresh.

    By default, this option is deactivated.

    Show welcome panel on startup

    Lets you choose if you want to display the home page when you open the app.

    When you clear this option, you access the app directly.

    Note: This option is shared between the 2D and 3D widgets of the same app. If you change the preference in one widget, the change reflects on the other one.

    By default, this option is activated.

    Retrieve Instances Tags

    Retrieves and displays the Instance tags in addition to the Reference tags.

    By default, this option is activated.

    Geometry Quality Defines the default geometry quality:
    • Optimized
    • High
    Note: The High quality setting can impact all data already loaded, the loading performances, and the 3D navigation FPS.

    By default, the Optimized option is selected.
    Loading boxes display Activates the display of loading boxes when loading content. You can select:
    • Always on display
    • After 5 seconds
    • After 10 seconds
    • After 15 seconds
    • Disabled

    By default, Always on display is selected.
    Loading boxes color Selects the color of loading boxes among the available colors:
    • Gray
    • Orange
    • Yellow
    • Green
    • Blue

    By default, gray is selected.
    3D Selection Level Defines the 3D selection level:
    • Shape
    • Product
    For users focused on the 3D part instead of the 3D shape, selecting the 3D part (Product) enables a more convenient access to 3D part metadata.

    Only explicit selections done in the viewer are filtered based on the preference value.

    By default, the Product option is selected.

    Display Work Under

    Displays the Change Action bubble to allow the selection of the change action under which you want to work.

    By default, this option is activated.

    Work Under Position

    Lets you choose the position in the widget of the Change Action bubble:

    • Lower-right corner
    • Lower-left corner
    • Upper-right corner
    • Upper Left Corner

  3. Click Save.
