Extracting Engineering Specification Objects to File

You can extract any Engineering Specification objects if you need to view it in any web browser.


Before you begin: Open an Engineering Specification object.
  1. Click Share > Extract to xml.
  2. Click one of the following:
    • Quick extract: lets you extract the current selected object only with the default style sheet (xslt file) in a selected directory.
    • Advanced extract: lets you extract the objects of your choice and to edit the style sheet.
    If you click Advanced extract, the Extract to file options dialog box appears. The objects you can extract are displayed in a tree view with the style sheet that will be used for their extraction.
  3. In the Extract to file options dialog box, select the objects to extract.
  4. In the Output directory box, select the output folder.
  5. Optional: In the Prefix of extracted files, enter a prefix for the new files.
  6. Click OK to extract the selected objects.
