Filtering Objects in the Engineering Specification Tree Viewer

The Engineering Specification Tree Viewer has been designed to let you filter the objects you want to be displayed. You can filter the objects according to the following criteria: the application, the object type, or the name.


Before you begin: Open a product with several objects.
  1. Move your pointer over the docking area of the tree.
    The tree appears.
  2. Click to pin the tree.
  3. Click Engineering Specification Tree Viewer .
    The Engineering Specification Tree Viewer stands in for the standard tree. This viewer lets you choose which objects you want to be displayed.
  4. Select the Use global filtering check box to limit the list of objects you can choose in the app according to the filters applied in the Engineering Specification Tree Viewer.
  5. In the Disciplines area, clear the check boxes of your choice to hide the objects of the corresponding discipline.
  6. In the Objects area, clear the check boxes of the object category you want to hide.
  7. In the Type area, select in the list the object type you want to display.
    All other types are hidden.
  8. In the Name area, enter the name or part of the name of the objects you want to display.
    All the objects whose name does not contain the string you typed are hidden.
