Creating a Design Table from a Technological Table

You can create a design table from a technological table using the command available in the Piping & Tubing 3D Part Design, HVAC 3D Part Design, or Electrical Raceway 3D Part Design apps. This enables you to take advantage of all technological table characteristics for the design tables, such as change track, value control, etc.

Before you begin:
  • You must have a technological table in session or in database.
  • Enter the Piping & Tubing 3D Part Design, HVAC 3D Part Design, or Electrical Raceway 3D Part Design apps.

About Technological Tables
  1. From the Fluid Design section of the action bar, click Design Table from Technological Table .
  2. Select or search a table.
    There are two possible behaviors:
    • If an automatic association can be made with the current parameter of your representation, the Create Design Table from Technological Table dialog box displays to let you decide if you want to perform the automatic association. Click Yes or No.
    • If there is no possible automatic association, a message appears to inform you that no automatic association is possible.

    The design table is automatically created from the selected technological table.

  3. Optional: To update a design table, right-click it in the tree and select Update from a Technological Table.
