Generating and Using Client/Server Traces

This section explains how to generate and use client/server traces.

  1. In the Launch window of a batch or CATIA, set the variable: 

    PLMx_TraceDirectory Export/
set PLMx_TraceDirectory=E:\repoPLMx\Messages

    where E:\repoPLMx\Messages is a directory where client/server messages will be stored, in a directory that is created at launch time.

  2. Messages are encrypted. Send them to DS for decryption and analysis.

    For each test, send the whole batch of messages. To this end, create a zip file of the message directory during testing.

Limitations

Massive data imports (CoexistenceBatch or Briefcase) are not compatible. Triggers are deactivated when using these functions.
