Export of 3D Tolerancing & Annotation in 3D XML

This information is about the export of engineering connections contained in an app. 3D Tolerancing & Annotation features in 3D XML can be reviewed within 3D XML Player and 3DLive (without requiring 3D Annotation Insight license).

The following table describes 3D Tolerancing & Annotation features which are exported according to the selected option, with authoring or for review.

Features with authoring for review
All features except Datum Reference Frame and Restricted area. Exported. Exported but they cannot be edited, copied, deleted or moved.
Datum Reference Frame Not exported. Not exported.
Restricted area Not exported. Not exported.
Note Object Attribute with attribute link or a 2D component instance. The external link is not exported. The external link is not exported.
Engineering Connections Exported. Not exported.
External Reference Only the referencing geometry is exported, not the referenced geometry. Not exported.
Important:

About hidden object (in No Show):

  • Although hidden geometries are not exported in a 3D XML, related 3D annotations are well-exported, including Capture annotations.
  • Hidden 3D annotations are exported.
