File Coexistence and Migration

The File Coexistence and Migration User's Guide is for the user who needs to import files from earlier CATIA or DELMIA versions into 3DEXPERIENCE.

With File Coexistence and Migration, you can:

  • Import V4 and V5 files and their related documents into the V6 database (Only normal scale data import is supported).
  • Use the stored documents as native V6 data after migration.
  • Open FBDI in interactive and batch modes.
  • Acquire the advantage of executing V6 functionality along with V4 and V5 legacy

With Downward Compatibility you can:

  • Export 3DEXPERIENCE files to a V5 database (Normal and small scale data export is supported)
  • Open Downward Compatibility in interactive and batch modes.
