You can import a large amount of content on several machines in 3DEXPERIENCE through packages using split and import mode. The Split and Import execution mode (only available in batch mode) analyzes the dependency bundle to arrange documents in smaller
packages.
Select Split and Import in the Excecution Mode section of the batch. For more information about batch mode, see Running the FBDI Batch.
On selecting the Split and Import option, the Use Mapping Tables option is selected by default.
Note:
The path names for files in FBDI should follow the universal naming convention
(\\ComputerName\SharedFolder\Resource).
Select Me > Preferences.
The Preferences dialog box appears.
Select Preferences > General > Batches > Grid Computing
The grid administrator defines the set of computers and the complete multiprocessing environment and identifies the grid computing environment. The administrator launches the split and import through the FBDI batch.
Optional: Customize the split options available in the Preferences > File-based Design Import > Performance tab.
Click OK for the Preferences dialog box or Click Run for the batch.
The import process starts. Due to mapping tables, all links are rerouted on previously imported packages.
The import details are available in the GlobalResults.htm report. For more details on this report, see FBDI Report for Split Mode.
During process execution, if a package fails to import, the split is not stopped globally. It continues with the next package.
You can correct or change a batch input and re-launch the split import. It reuses the partial results computed in the previous import due to the asynchronous capability.
