- Click Motion Trace .
- Select the object for which you wish to create the
trace.
The
Robot attaches itself to the base location of the object.
Note:
The offset Robot options appear as a context toolbar. You can choose
to define an offset from the origin to trace, or delete any previously created offset
and revert back to tracing the origin. This context toolbar disappears when you move
the cursor away.
A stamp containing a snapshot of the selected product/resource with its origin
point highlight is created in the Probes
panel.
- To define an offset, click Define Offset for the dialog box.
- Make changes as desired to change the previously created point from the default origin to this new point, click OK.
The context toolbar appears again so that you may modify the offset again. Move the cursor away to hide the toolbar.
- Right-click the thumbnail to select a context command.
- Click Play
in the Compass, and select the track that moves the previously selected part with motion trace.
The trace appears.
Note:
The default color of the line is controlled by the
Motion Trace tab on the tab or use Properties from the context menu to
change the graphic representations.
- Run the pointer over the trace.
Data about the trace appears. The default data are:
- The length from the starting point;
- The time elapsed in the simulation when the simulation is at that point;
- The name of the point.
To select additional data, select the Motion Trace tab from or right-click the point and select Properties
.
Notes:
You can right-click on the thumbnail and select Deactivate
to keep the trace from appearing when you click Play.
