Exporting and Importing Track Files

You can export selected fitting tracks in the form of an xml file and import previously exported tracks into your current session.

This task shows you how to:

Export Selected Tracks to a File

You can export selected tracks in the form of an xml file.

  1. From the Setup section of the action bar, click Track File Export .
  2. Select one or more fitting tracks.
  3. In the Save XML dialog box that appears, select a folder to store the xml file.
  4. If needed, enter a name for the xml file.
    By default, the exported file is named 'Tracks.xml'.
  5. Click Save.
    The xml file is stored in the selected folder.

Import Previously Exported Tracks

You can import previously exported tracks into your current session. The tracks are created in the session depending on the current context and the available moving objects.

  1. From the Setup section of the action bar, click Track File Import .
  2. In the Open XML dialog box that appears, select the folder where the desired xml file is stored.
  3. Select the desired xml file and click Open.
  4. Select the reference where the tracks are to be created.

    The reference can be an Excitation node, an organizational resource, or an operation (node in tree, thumbnail, or node in a Gantt chart).

    The tracks are created under the selected reference.
