Modifying a Track to Accommodate Design Changes

This task describes how to modify a track to accommodate changes in the geometry, for example, when a part is moved outside of the track definition.

Although this example shows a part being moved, this process applies to moving selected objects, lights, section planes, or cameras.

Before you begin: Have a scenario open with a track.
  1. Right-click the Robot and select Snap Automatically to Selected Object.
  2. Select a Part from the geometry.
  3. Use the Robot to move the part.

  4. Right-click the Robot and deselect Snap Automatically to Selected Object.
  5. On either the specification tree or geometry, right-click on the track and select Track.1 (Track.1) object > Definition.
The moved part jumps to the position it occupied when the track was originally defined.
  6. Use the Robot to move the part to the position it occupied in step 3.
  7. In the Track Authoring context toolbar, click Modify .

The track now uses the new position of the part.
