Accessing and Navigating Collaboration and Approvals Objects

You can access and work with Bookmarks, folders and objects in the work area of Bookmark.

You can search for, display, filter, navigate and work with objects created in the web user interface. For more information about the web user interface and, see Collaboration and Approvals User's Guide

Notes:
  • You cannot copy a Bookmark Folder into another Bookmark Folder.
  • You cannot use Copy and Paste on Bookmark Folders contained in Bookmarks.
  • Select Under... and Filter are available for objects contained in Bookmarks.

This task shows you how to:

Search for Collaboration and Approvals Objects

You can search for Bookmarks, folders and objects using the Search section of the top bar.

  1. In the top bar, enter the search query in the Search section and press the Enter key.

    To search for Bookmarks you can type any of the following:

    • tws:
    • Bookmark:
    • Bookmark:

    A list of Bookmarks corresponding to your search appears.
  2. Choose the Bookmark you want to open and do either of the following to open it:
    • Double-click the Bookmark.
    • Right-click the Bookmark and click Explore .
    The Bookmark opens in the work area and can be explored as the root of the folder structure.
    Note: You can open multiple Bookmarks. Each Bookmark will open in a separate tab.
  3. To search for other objects, type either of the following in the Search section of the top bar
    ObjectSearch Query

    Bookmark Folder

    You can type either of the following:

    • BookmarkFolder:
    • wsv:
    • wv:
    • Bookmark Folder:

    Generic Document

    You can type either of the following:

    • gdoc:
    • gDoc:
    • gDOC:
    • gDocument:
    • gdocument:
    • Generic Document:

    Document

    You can type either of the following:

    • doc:
    • Doc:
    • DOC:
    • Document:
    • document:
    A list of objects corresponding to your search appears.

View and Edit Properties of a Bookmark or Folder

You can view and edit (if you are allowed) the properties of a Bookmark or folder in the work area of Bookmark

  1. Search for a Bookmark using the Search section of the top bar
    A list of Bookmarks appears in the search results.
  2. Right-click a Bookmark and click Properties .
    The Properties window opens where you can view and edit the properties of an object.
  3. Open the Bookmark in the work area by doing either of the following:
    • Double-click the Bookmark.
    • Right-click the Bookmark and click Explore .
    The Bookmark opens in the work area and can be explored as the root of the folder structure.
  4. Select the root node of the Bookmark.
  5. Do either of the following:
    • Right-click the root node of the Bookmark and click Expand All .
    • Right-click the 3D representation of the Bookmark and click Expand All .
    • Navigate to the Navigate section of the action bar and click Expand All
    The completely expanded structure of the Bookmark is visible.
  6. Choose the folder in the Bookmark whose properties you want to view or modify.
  7. Right-click the folder and click Properties .

    You can also access the Properties window by selecting the folder and pressing the Alt and Enter keys.

    The Properties window opens where you can view the properties of the folder.
