Creating a Sequence Diagram from Another Sequence Diagram

You can create a sequence diagram from another functional or logical sequence diagram.

Before you begin: For the purpose of this scenario:
  • Create a sequence diagram under the Logical node.
  • Create a logical model under the Logical node.
  1. From the Sequence Diagram section of the action bar, select Initialize Sequence Diagram from Another Sequence Diagram .
  2. Select the existing sequence diagram and select the logical reference.
  3. In the Sequence Diagram Mapping dialog box, review mappings for the actors, flows and messages.
  4. In the Sheet dialog box, enter a name for the sheet that will contain the sequence diagram.
  5. In the Sequence Diagram dialog box, enter a name for the sequence diagram.
    The second diagram is initialized from the first one.
