Adding a New or Existing Logical 3D Representation

You can add a 3D representation to a logical component. This is useful to allocate 3D space to your logical system.

This task shows you how to:

Add a New Logical 3D Representation

You can create a 3D representation and add it to a logical component.

  1. Select a logical component.
  2. From the Edition section of the action bar, click Create 3D Logical Representation .
    The Logical 3D Representation Reference dialog box appears.
  3. Enter a name and a description, and then click OK.
  4. To enter the appropriate app and edit the 3D shape, double-click the logical 3D representation in the tree.
  5. To return to the Functional & Logical Design app, double-click any logical component in the tree.

Add an Existing Logical 3D Representation

You can select in session or search an existing 3D representation and add it to a logical component.

  1. Select a logical component.
  2. From the Edition section of the action bar, click Insert Existing 3D Logical Representation .
  3. Select a logical 3D representation in session or through a search.
    The logical 3D representation is displayed in the tree under the selected logical component.
  4. To enter the appropriate app and edit the 3D shape, double-click the logical 3D representation in the tree.
  5. To return to the Functional & Logical Design app, double-click any logical component in the tree.
