Assigning a Picture to a 2D Representation

You can assign a picture to a functional/logical reference. This picture is displayed in the body of its 2D representation.

Important:
  • The file extension must be written with minuscule (lower case) letters only.
  • The following graphic formats are supported: .bmp, .jpeg, .jpg, .png, .svg, .tif, .tiff.

This task shows you how to:

Insert New Picture

You can insert a new picture representation.

  1. From the tree or from the 2D graph, select a function/logical component.
  2. From the Edition section of the action bar, click Insert New Picture Representation .
  3. From the Select document dialog box, select an image to represent the selected function and click Open.
    The Logical Picture dialog box appears.
  4. Enter a name and a description for the picture representation then click OK.
    The picture representation is displayed in the 2D representation and also appears in the tree.
  5. Select Share > Save > Save with Options to save the picture representation in database.

Insert Existing Picture Representation

You can insert an existing picture representation.

  1. From the tree or from the 2D graph, select a function/logical component.

    Note: From the tree, you can select a function/logical component that is not displayed in 2D graph. The assigned picture will be displayed the next time the 2D representation appears.

  2. From the Edition section of the action bar, click Insert Existing Picture Representation .
  3. Search for the existing picture representation.
  4. Select the picture representation from the search list and click OK.
  5. Select Share > Save > Save with Options to save the picture representation in database.
