Inserting a Behavior in an Existing Function or Logical Component

To add a behavior to an existing function or logical component, you can insert a new behavior representation.

You can insert either:

  • a Dymola behavior (in a function)
  • a Dymola, Context or FMI behavior (in a logical component).

In the following scenario, a Dymola behavior is inserted in a function.

Before you begin: Enter the Functional & Logical Design app and create a function.
  1. From the tree or from the 2D graph representation, select a function.
    The New content dialog box appears.
  2. In this dialog box, click Dymola Behavior.
    The Dymola dialog box appears.
  3. In this dialog box, type a name and a description.

Insert a Behavior in an Existing Logical Component

To add a behavior to an existing logical component, you can insert a new Dymola, Context, or FMI behavior representation.

Before you begin: Enter the Functional & Logical Design app and create a logical component.
  1. From the tree or from the 2D graph representation, select a logical component.
    The New dialog box appears.
  2. In this dialog box, click Dymola Behavior.
    The Dymola dialog box appears.
  3. In this dialog box, type a name and a description.
